Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes your privacy rights regarding the collection, use, storage, sharing and protection of personal information by VELONXT INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY L.L.C S.O.C. ("VELONXT", "NXT", "we", "us" or "our"). It applies to the NXT mobile application and related sites, applications, services and tools, regardless of how they are accessed.
It covers systems and processes that collect, store, use, transmit or dispose of personal information. It does not extend to services that NXT does not own or control, including third-party websites or services offered by merchants and partners. By using NXT services, users consent to the processing described in this policy.
Updates, Modifications and Amendments
NXT may update this policy as technology and legal requirements change. Material changes may be notified to users, and the updated policy applies from its published effective date. Users should check this page periodically. Continuing to use the services after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
Age Restriction
NXT services are not intended for children under 18. NXT does not knowingly collect their personal information or conduct business with them. Parents or guardians who become aware of a child providing information should contact support.
The Information We Collect
NXT may collect names, telephone numbers, email and physical addresses, financial details, account information, bank details, IP addresses and other identifying information relating to users, customers, merchants, employees, suppliers and other people with whom NXT deals.
Information is collected when an account is registered, services are used or users communicate with NXT. NXT may also obtain information from financial institutions, payment processors, identity verification services and other authorised sources. Transaction and account activity records are maintained after users begin using the services.
NXT uses information to provide services; answer requests; improve products; detect inappropriate use, fraud and unlawful activities; perform identity checks; send service updates and optional marketing; maintain records; and handle disputes, investigations and regulatory obligations. Users may opt out of marketing.
Where necessary to provide services, information may be shared with third parties or transferred to servers in other jurisdictions, subject to applicable data protection requirements.
Information Collected from Checkout Users
For users checking out on merchant websites, NXT may collect payment information, email, mobile number, billing address and shipping address. NXT uses access controls, encryption, firewalls and other security measures to protect payment information.
Contact details may be shared with the merchant for transaction records. Card information is not shared with merchants. Users should also review the privacy policy of the merchant involved.
Data Minimization
NXT aims to collect and use only information that is adequate, relevant and necessary for the stated processing purpose. Where feasible, information may be anonymised.
How We Protect Your Information
NXT uses physical, technical and administrative safeguards to reduce the risk of loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure and alteration. These measures include encryption, firewalls, physical access controls and restricting employee access to information needed for their duties. Employees must not use personal information for unauthorised private or commercial purposes.
How We Share Personal Information
NXT does not sell, trade or rent personal information. Information may be shared with trusted financial institutions, payment processors, identity and sanctions screening services, other authorised service providers and parties authorised by users. Disclosure may also occur where required by law. Data may be hosted on infrastructure outside NXT’s direct control.
Transfer of Personal Information
NXT may engage third-party processors under written agreements requiring appropriate safeguards. Cross-border transfers must be handled in accordance with applicable legal requirements and with appropriate security measures.
The source policy refers to Dubai data protection requirements and also to Nigerian legislation, the NDPA and NITDA. Those jurisdictional references are retained as source-policy context and require legal reconciliation before publication for an Agent operating entity.
Grounds for Processing Personal Information
Processing may rely on consent; performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps; compliance with legal obligations; protection of vital interests; or a public-interest task or official mandate, as applicable. Consent must be freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous.
Your Data Protection Rights
Subject to applicable law, individuals may request access to their information, information about its use, correction, deletion, portability, restriction or objection to processing, and may object to automated decisions. Requests are reviewed subject to legal and regulatory obligations.
Users may decline to provide requested information, but this may prevent access to some or all services. Account information can be updated in account settings or by contacting NXT.
The Data We Retain
Information is retained while accounts remain active and for as long as needed to provide services, verify identity, process transactions, settle funds, handle refunds, investigate fraud and comply with statutory obligations. Certain records may remain after an account closes.
Retention depends on contract terms, statutory periods, investigations, deletion requests and other lawful grounds. NXT periodically reviews retained information and destroys it where possible and lawful.
